As well as having relevant content and keywords, another way that Google determines the PageRank of a web site is by the number of links to it (incoming links or BackLinks). It will look at how many other pages on the internet think that the web page is important. If the web page is linked to by many pages with a high PageRank it may also receive a high rank. It’s also important that the links coming from other web pages are relevant. ie: The web page providing the link should be in a similar niche. If there are no links to a web page then Google will see there is no support for that page and it will not receive a high PageRank.

We also talked about the highest PageRank sites on the web at present. There are only around 13 websites that receive a PageRank of 10 (as of April 2010).

I also released a new website that Julie and I have been building which we think you will find to be a useful tool, called MyMarketingLinks.com. My Marketing Links is a collection of thumbnail website images that link to that website.

I setup one of these pages for my last Internet Marketing Retreat and everyone found it very useful to use as their home page. It makes it easier to find the website you’re looking for when building your internet marketing/affiliate websites without trying to remember each and every domain name for all of the websites that you use. You may find it useful to set as your home page – then you’ll never have to search for that website domain again!

I show you how and where to find great PLR/MRR content such as PLR ebooks, PLR articles & PLR software etc. to use as the bonuses you are going to give your customer for purchasing the product you are promoting through your affiliate website.

• The size of the image you upload does not matter.  It will automatically resize it to fit.  All you really need to worry about is that the side/spine image is the same height as the cover image so that it is all in proportion.

Another cool free tool we used was the thumbnail image generator, which automatically generates small images of a website for you.  It’s called Thumbalizr.com This can be used to place the image of the affiliate website you are promoting on your website so that the customer knows they will be directed to another website to purchase when they click on your link.

Next we cover what to do to offer bonuses to your customers for buying through your affiliate link and how you can send them to someone who has purchased by asking the customer to contact you via a contact form on your website with details about their purchase.  The contact form we used was a plugin for WordPress called Contact 7.

Google Analytics Goal and Conversion Tracking can tell us exactly what your users are doing (or not doing) on your site. Tonights webinar will show you how to setup a Goal, and create a Sales Funnel towards that goal.

Also discussed are the tools available in the Google Webmaster Tools. A warning though, my theme didn’t change the Header to allow me to verify the site, and I haven’t figured out yet what was going on, but I’m sure you’ll get the idea!!

Well what a fantastic week we had on Stradbroke Island just off the Gold Coast of Australia at Couran Cove Island Resort.

We had 25 keen Internet Marketers who learnt a whole lot of information to help them further their careers in internet marketing. The island was the perfect place to retreat from everyday life and focus on internet marketing strategies, while also enjoying the sun, sand & surf !
